Our Team.

Tim is founding director of TACTech along with Cam. He’s spent the best part of the previous 20 years honing his skills as a technical mining professional across operational and technical mining teams, consulting and head offices.

Having grown up in country NSW, Tim values hard work, honesty, integrity and having a crack. Having lead both operational and technical mining teams successfully, Tim has proven he can instill his core values in those who work for him and with him. He believes a high level of integrity and trust are critical to success in life and work.

Tim’s first mine was a large hole in his parent’s backyard in Bathurst which yielded little of any value but plenty of mud.

Tim’s interests include running, vegetable growing and dreaming of a return to playing more jazz music. His three children command most of his “spare” time and don’t realise how lucky their lives are and how hard it was when he was a child toiling away in the backyard mud mine.

Tim is passionate about improving mine planning standards; having a plan, following the plan and keeping it simple.

Cam is a founding director of TACTech along with Tim. He’s spent his career developing operational and technical mine planning solutions and delivering strategic value adding initiatives across a number of Hunter Valley open cut coals mines.

Having grown up on the sunny beaches in south east Queensland, Cam moved to the Hunter after his studies in search of a new adventure. An avid sports person, playing Soccer and Sailing at high levels as a junior, he has remained passionate about local sport, helping him establish enduring relationships within the Singleton community. If not donning the lycra on his road bike or walking the family dachshund, Hugo, you could find him on the weekend as captain of the mighty Singleton Roosters AFL team, where he leads with the behaviours and values that also dictate his work style.

Cam is a valued member of any team he works in and is appreciated for his integrity, support and lightheartedness. He believes practicing the core values of trust, communication and self-awareness, coupled with a proactive approach to problem solving, will ensure a team’s continued success.

Cam is passionate about developing younger engineers, improving site planning systems and employing practical knowledge. He advocates ’simple plans, communicated effectively, leads to engaged stakeholders’.
